Dear Parent/Guardian/Independent Student,
Every year, at the beginning of the year, we notify you of the online applications we use as a division. In addition, this year, your child's teacher or school wants to use Starfall.
Starfall is designed to help children learn to read and build early math skills by turning research‑based lessons into untimed, multisensory activities that feel like play. It tackles common challenges in early learning—such as developing phonemic awareness and sight words—and supports emergent readers, English learners, and students with learning differences by letting them see, hear, and touch as they learn. Unlike pen‑and‑paper practice, Starfall’s interactive games, animated songs, and audiovisual supports keep students engaged while following state learning objectives from pre‑K through grade 5. Its free‑flowing design encourages kids to explore, repeat skills at their own pace without constant tests, and learn through positive reinforcement, with accessibility features like keyboard‑friendly activities, captions, and visual descriptions to include all learners at school and at home.
